Quartz
Infra Red Heaters
|
|
Quartz
heaters consists of a helically wound resistance
coil encased in a pure silica fused tube.
Once the coil is encased in the tube, then
the tube is been enclosed by means of specially
designed ceramic insulated caps, which are
securely fastened with high temperature
cement providing excellent support to the
power connecting terminals of the quartz
tube.
Quartz Heaters are generally designed to
be used in horizontal position only.
These quartz Heaters are available in various
diameters like 8mm, 10mm, 12mm, 15mm, 19mm
etc with variation in lengths from 300mm
to1500mm.
Modules of quartz heaters are also available
in which a resistance wire is enclosed in
a small diameter quartz tube running parallel
to each other and mounted in a special housing.
The two sizes are designed to be installed
in same dimensional spacing as ceramic infra
red elements.
Quartz infra red half modules are available
in different wattages from 125 Watts to
650 Watts. and full modules are available
from 250 Watts to 1000Watts.
Care should be taken not to over torque
the screw and nut terminal posts as breakage
of the internal heater connections may occur.
Also connections to the heater should be
made with high temperature wire.
As with any electrically heated product,
the proper application of heater and temperature
control is the most important factor in
optimum performance, efficiency and longevity
i.e. longer life. No two systems are alike
It is extremely important that attention
has been given to the total product or system
design as well as operating environment.
