are used as Immersion heater for water

Generally
when a cartridge or porcelain heater
is covered with metallic sheath such
as Mild Steel, stainless Steel,Titanium,glass
or any other material and submerged
into liquids are known as “Immersion”
heaters.
These are available in various diameters
as well as wattage and Voltage.

These
heaters are generally used in chemical
tanks, where highly corrosive acids
like sulphuric, Nitric as well as
Hydrochloric and alkalis like Sodium
Nitrate etc are used since these chemicals
dose not react with glass.
As this heaters are made out of Quartz
glass care has to taken while handling.
